Welcome to st. mary's cottage...
The cottage is ideally situated at the edge of the bustling village of Honley, which has frequent buses linking it to Holmfirth, Huddersfield and other local villages. There is also a railway station just outside the main village which is on the Huddersfield to Sheffield heritage line.
For those who enjoy walking, the village itself has an interesting history with many cobbled roads and nooks and crannies. Beyond the village there are walks ranging from easy to energetic - but all make the most of the beautiful scenery.
From the cottage it is a 2 minute stroll into the village where you will find two small supermarkets, a post office, the lovely 'Gallery Cafe' as well as an array of other shops. The 'Mustard and Punch' bistro has excellent food and an intimate atmosphere. There is also the 'Lemon Tree' trattoria, the 'Balooshai' Indian restaurant and the 'Canton Chef' Chinese restaurant. Some of these have a takeaway menu so you don't need to cook if you don't want!
